FAQ

  • How is AiSO different from SEO?

SEO or Search Engine Optimization is a broad term that mainly refers to focus on making your business rank higher in search results. Google, Yahoo, and Bing have been the dominant places users search for most of the internet’s lifetime. More and more people are using Ai searches like ChatGPT, Gemini, Deepseek, and Grok, shaking up the search engine status quo. AiSO has some crossover with SEO strategy but is largly focused on helping businesses appear more frequently in these new Ai searches.

  • Most Ai algorithms are private or closed sourced. How does AiSO Services analyze them?

Tools to take large data samples from Ai algorithms are in development as AiSO becomes a more contested space. Early on this was done with guessing and checking. Sometimes it comes down to running a search with specific keywords many times. Now AiSO Services uses tools that can run keyword analysis much more rapidly.

  • Why is AiSO Important?

More people than ever are using Ai to search for things that they used to “Google.” Whenever the algorithm they are consulting mentions products or services related to your business, that is a potential touchpoint for your customers. If your business doesn’t show up in their search, there’s a good chance that user will go with another option that did.

  • What does AiSO stand for? / What are other names for AiSO?

AiSO stands for Artificial Intelligence(Ai) Search Optimization. GEO, ASO, AISEO are just a few of the other names out there for the strategy of configuring your online presence to be reflected favorably by Ai algorithms, like LLMs. This part of the SEO industry(a relatively young industry in its own rights) is so new that people are still settling on what to call it. It will likely be called many names before just one is common.

  • What are different types of Ai that are relevant to AiSO?

Many types of Ai algorithms have emerged since Ai usage has entered mainstream applications but the ones AiSO is currently focused on are Large Language Models(LLMs). These are like(but not limited to) ChatGPT, Deepseek, Gemini. LLMs can be simply identified by the way they produce responses by predicting the next part of text, creating coherent responses. LLM type algorithms are trained on massive amounts of text data, hence “Large Language.” A relatively modern feature of many popular LLMs is the ability to search the internet in real time and incorporate that information in its responses. This function can transform the Ai into a powerful search aggregator that distils lots of info across different pages into a useful summary.

  • Is my business too small for AiSO to matter?

No! LLMs like ChatGPT are trained on lots of social media data and are constantly searching the internet. It’s important to show them your business is legitimate. Otherwise they might only find some bad comment about you online and regurgitate that in a potential customer’s search result.

  • Is there Ai generated content on your website?

No. We often consult Ai searches for references, but any copy or insights are original and typed by a person.
